Our team of medical experts can diagnose and treat many skin conditions to improve overall health and revitalize the skin. Some of the services we provide are treatments for skin cancer, rashes, acne, rosacea, and other comprehensive dermatological care. Our dermatologists are also experts at treating complex dermatological conditions and incorporate a multidisciplinary approach to caring for all our patients with these conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the most popular cosmetic dermatology treatments?
Injectables, such as Botox and Dermal Fillers, are some of the most common treatments, but there are many, many more. Chemical peels are very popular for improving skin texture and reducing blemishes, and microdermabrasion is a wonderful way to soften fine lines and reveal a fresher, younger appearance. Laser hair removal is often overlooked but is one of the most commonly carried out treatments in the US.
How old is too old to undergo treatment?
As long as you’re healthy, you’re never too old. In fact, treatments such as dermal fillers actively stimulate the natural production of collagen, making it a great option for improving the health and look of the skin. There’s no reason that those in their 70s, 80s, or even their 90s shouldn’t take advantage of the latest cutting-edge procedures.
How long does Botox last?
You can expect the effect of your BOTOX® treatment to last anywhere from 3 to 4 months.
Are cosmetic dermatology treatments, such as Botox, safe?
Every procedure on offer at Bayou City Dermatology has undergone rigorous testing and is only carried out by board-certified dermatologists or under their direct supervision. So yes, they're safe.
How do I determine the treatment that is right for me?
We only provide treatment following in-depth consultation with one of our board-certified dermatologists. That way we can understand your goals and discuss your options before a decision is made as to the treatment(s) that’ll provide you with the ultimate results.
What’s the difference between Botox and fillers?
While both address lines and wrinkles, they work in different ways. Botox is successfully used on what’s called ‘dynamic’ wrinkles—in other words, ones that are caused by muscle movement (think frown lines, crow’s feet, etc.) Fillers are used to treat deeper lines, ones that are caused by a loss of plumpness in the face or sagging. As the name suggests, they essentially fill out the area beneath the wrinkles or lines, so adding fullness and volume.

From the front desk, to their medical assistants, and Dr. Wu, I have never been treated better or with more respect from these professionals. Their entire team is a combination of organized knowledge and kindness. A rare combination. Dr Wu is hopefully the future of this profession. Methodical and patient friendly. I'm glad my wife introduced me to Bayou City Dermatology.
Gurjeet and Dr. Sra are simply the best team! Very caring and observant during routine skin checks, and handle serious issues with empathy and sincerity. Can’t recommend them enough!

Botox and fillers have a varying lifespan that’s unique to the individual. But it’s generally agreed that how long they’ll last for you has at least some bearing on your metabolism. So what does this mean? Can you work out whether this will equate to an overly short or long period and, very importantly, can you do anything about it?
